AS quite a conservative Gulf War veteran and former Liberal voter, I am tired of hearing Gareth Ward and his online trolls going on about the amount of work he does.

Mr Ward is doing the only job he has ever known, politics, for which he gets paid quite well. He is expected to work. If he wants to know and learn about real work ethics, he needs to take a leaf out of Labor’s candidate for Kiama Glenn Kolomeitz’s book.
Glenn represents veterans for free, myself included, in courts around the state while managing a legal practice and growing another business, giving free (and very interesting) presentations to numerous community groups, voluntarily serving the RSL and other veterans’ groups, voluntarily serving on the committee of the Rural Medical Families Network in a bid to attract more doctors and their families to regional areas, all the while raising a family.
That’s a work ethic and social conscience to which Mr Ward and his (quite offensive) bloggers can only aspire. God bless Glenn Kolomeitz for the work he has done and the work he continues to do for veterans and the community.
