COLD MAYOR: The Mayor turned up in a beanie on top of his head to beat off the cold.

A COLD Saturday morning saw 10 WWPSWC members turn up at the Country Club to play in a Stableford event.

The Mayor even turned up in a beanie on top of his head to beat off the cold and he explained that he won the beanie as first prize in a raffle, at a meeting of True Believers.

Skeeter won the day with a great and hard to beat 21 points for the nine holes. Skeeter is consistently winning prize money, so much so our treasurer asked him to bring in a tax declaration form or at least get an ABN number.

Next was Scrooge having one of his best days at the Country Club, he had 19 points.

Following him was Cyrano without the box of golf balls he had promised to give us, he had 17 points.

The Copulator finished up with 16 points.

Nearest the pin on the 10th was Mumbles and the 13th went to Skeeter, both having birdies on the holes and narrowly missing hole in ones.

The course was in good condition but the wind played havoc with the players’ golf.

The Mayor now goes in to hospital on July 29 for his procedure, we will keep you informed of his well being.

Next week's game is at Sussex Inlet. Please get there early to hit off the first tee at 8am.
