THE final of the Greenwell Point Women’s championship fours was played with great sportsmanship.

Kim’s team got in the front at the start but soon Gail’s team went onto win and well done to all.

Thank you to Joe Franklin for giving up his time to be the umpire.

On Tuesday the first round of the club championship was played.

Maureen Vance, Margaret Young, Diana Medcalf and Kim Rudd defeated Helen Gardner, Del Mendes, Daphne Watson and Norma Watts.

Pat Black, Stella Tucker, Kay Innes and Gail Kiggins defeated Barbara Higgs, Sue Smith, Betty Wood and Suzanne Stevenson.

Social women played a last man standing event with Pat O’Donnell, Colleen Steele and Helen Hastings taking part and Colleen won.

Helen Gardner and Gwenda Burgess defeated Daphne Watson and Del Mendes in Thursday social bowls, while Suzanne Stevenson and Sue Smith defeated Betty Wood and Pat O’Donnell.

We all enjoyed a great luncheon the ladies supplied for us after the triples final.
