There was a field of 39 ladies and conditions on the course were pretty good for a cold wintry day.
The early birds got off to a cold start but warmed up after a few holes.
The predicted wind did not come up until the players were all inside the clubhouse and everyone was happy about that.
Adeney Ball made a delicious sponge cake as a reward for playing.
The winner in division one this week was Jan Buttle with a score of plus one. Lyn Hatchman was runner-up with minus three.
Coral Orford was the division two winner with minus two and Jill Downie was runner-up with minus five.
In division three Sonja Van Hoof had minus two and Anne Newton on minus three was runner-up.
Nearest to the pins for divisions one, two and three respectively were Di Lewis, Donna Hewat and Carol Cowden on the eighth hole, and on the 12th hole, Des Thornett and Ellen Ryan were closest.
There was no division two winner on the 12th hole.
Jill Levi took out the jackpot hole for the second week running and the ball rundown went to minus six and there were 11 places.
Congratulations and well done to all the winners.
Tomorrow is Patrons’ Day and Nancye Massingham and Janet Priddle will be sponsoring the trophies.
The club is looking forward to playing in this two-person ambrose event.
