Janice Egbers from Bomaderry Bowling Club played Lyn Handel from Sussex Inlet Bowling Club.
Lyn started well however Janice got her eye in and was six to Lyn’s two from there Lyn scored four shots over the next three ends to tie the scores 6-all on the eighth end from there Janice played beautiful draw bowls to be 17 to Lyn’s eight on the 15th end.
Janice scored eight shots over the next six ends to Lyn’s three shots with Janice taking the game 25 to 11 on the 21st end.
Congratulations to Janice Egbers on being the 2014 SCD champion of club champion winner and to Lyn Handel on being the runner-up.
After the game the players went into the club for the presentation of the badges and cheques.
District president Dorothy Sullivan presented the winner Janice with her badge and cheque and runner-up Lyn with her cheque.
President Dorothy congratulated both Janice and Lyn on a fine display of bowling and thanked Berry president Caroline Borland for hosting the final and for the delicious luncheon and thanked the umpire Marjorie Wilkie and marker Caroline Borland.
On Tuesday the quarter finals and semi finals were played at Culburra Bowling Club.
The semi finalists were Lyn Handel from Sussex Inlet and Elizabeth Kelly from Berry in this game Lyn got an early start and went onto win 25 to 8.
The other semi final was played between Janice Egbers from Bomaderry and Siretta Dawson from St Georges Basin again in this game Janice got an early start and went onto win 25-8.
Good luck to all players entered in the NSW champion of club champion singles to be held at Oak Flats Bowling Club from August 11-14.
