THE semi-final of the Callala Men's Bowling Club men’s minor singles was played at Callala last Saturday.

Although it was a sunny afternoon, the wind felt like it was coming off the snow.  This did not deter the spectators, with a large crowd gathering to watch the two games.

Dennis Beazley played Eddie Semevente with Eddie taking an early lead.  He maintained this lead to win the game 31 – 13.

The other game was a close game with Phill Bowerman and new junior bowler, Anthony Fisher, neck and neck until the 20th end, the score 16-all.

Anthony kept Phill scoreless for the next seven ends, winning 16 shots, and the game 32 - 16.  Eddie and Anthony are scheduled to play the final next weekend.  Thank you to the markers, Corey Carter and Ted Sorenson.
