Held every two years, the awards are open to all projects located within Shoalhaven City and completed within three years of the call for nominations.

This year’s awards will include a residential housing section as well as commercial/industrial buildings and an award for subdivision design.

The 2014 awards cover residential and commercial/industrial designs with entries judged in the following categories –

Individual house up to $400,000 project cost.

Individual house above $400,000 project cost.

Alterations and additions up to $250,000 project cost.

Alterations and additions above $250,000 project cost.

Medium density (including dual occupancy).

Heritage conservation.

Best practice in building sustainability.

Commercial/industrial.

Tourist development.

Subdivision design.

Excellent access to business premises.

Nominations close Friday, August 29 with the award winners to be announced on Friday, October 24.
