The advice from Shoalhaven City Council follows a warning from the SES after a large number of trampolines were blown from backyards throughout NSW during last week’s high winds.
Trampolines have become larger and many are now fitted with a mesh barrier that acts like a sail.
SES volunteers and residents were surprised at how far a large trampoline will travel when picked up by strong winds.
During the recent winds local volunteers removed trampolines from tree tops and roofs. Some of them had flown from two properties away.
