Shoalhaven police are investigating the theft of around 100 litres of diesel from a Shoalhaven City Council excavator at Bamarang, west of Nowra.

The excavator was parked in bushland off Yalwal Road with the diesel syphoned from the vehicle sometime between last Saturday, June 14 and Monday, June 16.
The diesel is valued at $160.
