A 46-YEAR-OLD South Australian man, arrested by police at Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay in February with more than $50,000 in his glove box, has been granted continuing bail in Nowra Local Court.

Paul James Lucke, of Callington in SA appeared in Nowra Local Court on Monday, charged with having goods in custody suspected of being stolen and dealing with property suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
The court heard Lucke was arrested between 10.30pm and 11pm on February 19 by police from Huskisson who were patrolling the Hyams Beach area and came across a car parked suspiciously on Hyams Beach Road.
Officers spoke to the occupant of the vehicle and a subsequent search of the car found $50,150 in cash.
Magistrate Alex Mijovich continued Lucke’s bail and adjourned the matter for hearing in Nowra Local Court on October 14.
