A SHOALHAVEN Heads man who was driving a car involved in a crash that caused the death of two elderly people, as well as serious injuries to a two-year-old boy who was a passenger in his vehicle, has also been charged with drug possession.

Jeremy Paul Price, 35, of Shoalhaven Heads Road, Shoalhaven Heads appeared in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death drive manner dangerous, one charge of dangerous driving occasioning actual bodily harm drive manner dangerous and one charge of possessing a prohibited drug.
In facts before the court it was alleged Price was driving on Bolong Road just before 12.30pm on April 24 when his vehicle, a silver Toyota Altise, collided with a Holden Barina travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Barina, 79-year-old Bernard Hayden, died at the scene.
His 72-year-old wife, Eileen, was airlifted to St George Hospital where she died two days later.
Price, who suffered serious injuries, was taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment.
He was also discovered to be in possession of a prohibited drug, 2.25 grams of methamphetamine.
A two-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Toyota suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Sydney hospital.
Magistrate Alex Mijovich continued Price’s conditional bail and he will reappear in Nowra Local Court on July 22.
