At 7.10am the Mitsubishi Fuso tanker was negotiating a corner when it slid on the wet road.
The tanker hit the guard rail and tipped onto its side. The front fuel tank ruptured, spilling diesel onto the road.
Emergency services, including a NSW Fire and Rescue HAZMAT team, responded to the accident and a traffic contra-flow was put in place while the scene was cleaned up.
The driver of the fuel tanker, a 62-year-old New Berrima man received minor cuts and bruises as a result of the accident.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision and would like to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
