As we all know, par can be perilous, and it doesn’t take much to swing the balance between a good round and a forgettable one. However, when the lyrebirds are singing in the background and the sun is sparkling on the river, all seems right with the world.
Sue Stephens obviously enjoyed her golf, coming in with the only plus score of the day. She was the winner for division one with +2, and Cathy Ison was runner-up with -2. The division two winner this week was Judith Gatty with -2. Anne Newton was runner-up with
-3. Because of numbers there were only two divisions this week.
Nearest to the pins for divisions one and two respectively were Viv Mitchell and Sandra Rigney on the 12th hole. On the eighth hole, Jean Ellis and Sandra Goddard were closest. Di Lewis was the winner of the jackpot hole.
The ball run down went to -5 and there were 13 places. The nine-hole comp held in conjunction was won by Rickie Gilligan with 11 points. Congratulations and well done to all our winners.
Tomorrow we have a great day planned for our Hospital Charity Day. We will be playing a four person Irish Countdown Stableford and we have visitors joining us from near and far.
It is a shotgun start at 8.30am so make sure you don’t miss out on this one.
Get your team together, polish up your clubs and come join the fun.
There will also be a nine hole comp in conjunction if you prefer.
The hardworking ladies from the Hospital Auxiliary will set up their table of goodies for us to peruse after our round. There will be something for everyone so come prepared. Next week will be the June medal round so enjoy the fun while you can!
Good golfing ladies.
