The weather is still unseasonably warm, which has been great for evening touch football.
Division one teams are now at the halfway mark of the first round.
Divisions two and three are three games away from completing round one.
Congratulations to the association referees’ director Ken Hillman who was again voted as the referees’ coach of the year for the second year running at the recent prestigious NSW Touch Awards in Sydney.
This is an accolade for all Ken’s hard work at the representative level of touch in NSW with elite referees as part of his role on the NSWTA referees’ coaching panel.
The votes were compiled not by his peers, but by all referees who have been coached by anyone on the coaching panel.
Last week a team did not complete its allocated grounds duty and consequently faces a fine as a result.
The association asks that all teams ensure they thoroughly read the draw to look for refereeing duty or grounds duty.
Sometimes you may have both.
It is good to see finally that most touch players are in uniform.
Any team that now has uniform issues must advise the committee.
Players will be sent from the field for incorrect uniform.
General enquiries can be directed to the association secretary, Razz, preferably via text to 0400 036 753.
The association’s registrar is Belinda and can be contacted on 0438 235 679. Association president Dave’s contact is 0419 236 640.
All refereeing enquiries should be directed to referees’ director Ken on 0432 053 111.
