In round one of BNSW Southern Junior League the Shoalhaven u16 boys posted three wins out of four games played.
First game they played against Queanbeyan, which was won 61-59.
Brayden Morris was top scorer on 20 points, Matt Morrissey on 10 and Kobe Sennitt on nine.
The second game against Moss Vale saw the Tigers up by 62-47, with Matt Morrissey top scoring on 24 points and Luke Smith on 15 points.
By this stage the boys were coming together as a team and the two wins built their confidence to tackle Illawarra in the third game.
This was their toughest game yet.
The Hawks shut Shoalhaven down early in the game and took a big lead by half-time.
Shoalhaven fought back but lost the game 80-47, with Luke Smith top scoring on 17, Brayden Morris on 15 and Matt Morrissey on 10.
The final game against Albury saw the Tigers get their third win for the weekend, 93-37, with Luke Smith on 26, Matt Morrissey on 19, Jayden Glendenning on 12 and Ja’afar Baraguir on 10.
This game saw all the players get good minutes and all players on the score sheet, which was a great way to end round one of BNSW Southern Junior League.
