When something special comes along – you should get up on stage and sing about it.

The See Change Winter Arts Festival starts Friday, with Hear This – a three-day event full of singing and dancing at Tomerong.

Tomerong was the obvious choice to launch the Bay and Basin Arts Group’s festival as the village has become renowned for showcasing some of the region’s top acts.

Friday from 7pm to 10pm Raised Voices, young musicians and Kim Hair and her jazz trio, will perform their Loves Many Faces concert.

The cost is $20, which includes supper.

On Saturday morning, talented buskers will perform and at night international travelling duo The April Maze will return to the Bay for a special performance.

They will be supported by Southerly Change, returning from their three-month Australian Arts Council funded tour with fresh ideas, songs and sounds.

On Sunday afternoon, there are workshops for harmonica, ukulele and song writing where participants can write a song on the day with a group.

There’s also the option to jam with a band, so bring an instrument and become part of the Tribal Funk Orchestra in a live improvisational project.

The weekend will finish with a concert featuring four bands, including the raucous, quirky and seriously entertaining Chooks on a Hot Tin Roof performing an eclectic mix of covers and original songs.

Jen Saunders and The Corruptibles will mix it up with blend of blues, folk and punk classics and originals.

Bookings for single events, or multi event discounts, can be made through Boobooks Huskisson by phoning Steve on 0411 723 941 or emailing vicandnello@westnet.com.
