The Eagles have now lost four on the trot and are in danger of letting their season slip away if they lose again this week when they host the Jamberoo Superoos.
The Roos have played some good football so far and while they currently sit in the top five, they are yet to prove they should be there at the business end of the season.
Their 70-10 shellacking at the hands of Gerringong two weeks ago is probably still in the back of their minds, although their 46-20 win against Port Kembla will have made up for it a bit.
One positive sign for the Eagles is that halfback Matt Carroll, who has not played since the opening round, has been named to return.
This should give them a bit more structure and confidence and if they can play to their ability, another win is not too far away.
