The Superoos got flogged 70-10 in their clash at Nowra Showground and they won’t be able to afford many more losses like that to remain a genuine finals contender.
Last week’s result may well serve as a wakeup call for the Superoos, who will be confident they can bounce back in front of their home crowd.
Their opponents Port Kembla were also on the wrong end of the scoreboard last week, with a 44-12 loss to the Gorillas, but they have shown significant signs of improvement in 2014.
With their first win already done and dusted, the Blacks look to have palmed off the easy beats tag and will be hoping their next win is just around the corner.
The usual suspects like Jono Dallas, Robbie Noble, Gavin Jarrett and Matt Coelho will be the key players for the home side, while the Blacks will be looking for big games from the likes of Josh Maude, Josh Edwards, Tane Sturmey and their skipper Mark Simon.
