Police were called to the club at about 11.20pm following reports of an armed robbery.
Two masked men, one armed with a pistol and the other a knife, had entered the club and demanded money from staff.
After a male patron challenged the authenticity of the firearm, the thief discharged a round towards his head.
The round missed and hit the wall behind.
The men then left on foot with an amount of cash.
The first man is described as Caucasian, about 160cm tall, with a thin build and blonde hair. The second man is also Caucasian and about 175cm tall, with a thin build and short brown hair.
