The day kicked off at 1pm with the men’s game between Burrawang and St Georges Basin.
Goals to Burrawang’s Jack Donovan (2) and Sam Bromfield saw the highlanders take a 3-1 win over Basin.
Best on field for Burrawang was Jack Donovan, Trevor Donovan and Sam Bromfield, whereas Thomas Dolby, Scott Gee and Anthony Anyon impressed for Basin.
In the second men’s game, a great team effort from Kangaroo Valley saw them defeat Bluejays 4-2.
Nick Simmons (2), Mitch Wilson and Chris Hindman bagged Valley’s goals, with Dennis Smart scoring two for Bluejays.
Young ace Callum Mackay was best on field for Bluejays, with Matt Harford impressing for Valley.
The final men’s game saw Shoalhaven Heads go down to a strong Allsorts outfit 5-2.
Aaron Lloyd scored three goals for Allsorts, with assistance from Myles Burke and Shaun Wheeler.
Heads’ Jordan Butfield and Matthew Liddicoat claimed goals for Heads.
The first women’s game of the afternoon was between Allsorts Orange at heads Maroon at 5.30pm.
Goals to Orange’s Teneille Newton (2), Lucia Edwards (3), Lauren Duncan
And Rachel Frew were too much for Maroon, with Orange taking the win 7-1.
The other Allsorts and Heads teams faced off next with Allsorts Green celebrating a big 10-nil win over Shoalhaven Heads Blue.
A closer match was played in the final match of the night in an interclub battle between St Georges Basin White and St Georges Basin Red.
White took top honours, taking out Red 4-1.
The junior competition will resume this week following a break for the school holidays.
