Path protesters take fight to council

RESIDENTS opposed to the construction of a $1.2 million shared pathway at Vincentia took their fight to Shoalhaven City Council on Tuesday night.

Council was due to deal with a rescission motion over the construction of the 500m footpath adjacent to homes on Orion Beach.

Councillors Andrew Guile, Greg Watson and Mark Kitchener moved the motion after council accepted to go ahead with the project at its March 18 meeting.

A number of residents turned up displaying placards, showing their opposition to the path’s construction.
