THE Bomaderry RSL Amateur Fishing Club Fishing competition 10 was held last weekend and due to the intrepid weather there were fewer members braving the elements.

However, the ones that did caught a nice selection of fish.
The overall winner was Phil Muller (beach fishing) who caught six bream, five tailor and a snapper with a total weight of 7.700 kilograms.
Runner-up was Glen Edwards (estuary) who caught two mullet, 10 luderick and one bream with a total weight of 4.425 kilograms.
The junior winner was Dashe Pederson (beach fishing) with a .850 kilogram tailor.
The sub junior was Emily France (rock fishing) with a 0.660 kilogram flathead. The mystery weigh winner was Phil Muller with 0.900 kilograms.
Fish of the month went to Glen Edwards with a mullet weigh of 0.180 kilograms. Heaviest bream was weighed in by Dale Woods at a weight of 0.760 kilograms.
Estuary fishing saw Tony Smith catch eight luderick at 3.150 kilograms.
Ron Smith caught one flathead and 10 luderick at 5.540 kilograms.
Bob Webster caught a flathead, tailor and luderick at 2.4 kilograms.
Beach fishing saw Dale Woods catch one bream and one tailor at 1.450 kilograms. Ruth Woodridge caught a tailor at 2.842 kilograms.
Next fishing competition is on May 23 to 25 and fish of the month is kingfish.
This Friday, April 18 is the club’s Easter raffle at Bomaderry RSL.
Members will start selling at 6pm with lots of extra prizes including Easter eggs.
