The under 17 girls competition kicked off last Wednesday night with an exciting game between the Culburra Cougars and Huskisson Seagulls at Culburra Oval.
The game was moved by mutual consent to the later 7.30pm time slot as a few Huskisson players were getting back from camp.
A great game was played by both sides, however Huskisson was too good in the end, winning 4-1.
The Seagulls’ M. Davis put home two goals, with teammates K. Thomson and B. Crossland making the four.
Culburra’s E. Thornton was the lone goal scorer for her team.
In the other match of the round, Bomaderry celebrated a 1-nil win over St Georges Basin.
