THE future of the proposed Woolworths development at Vincentia should be clearer in coming weeks.
Shoalhaven Mayor Joanna Gash will meet with representatives of the company’s development team next Wednesday to discuss the project.
That meeting was to have been held this week in Nowra but was postponed until April 16.
Cr Gash said she hoped the meeting would be able to answer some of the questions the community has been asking about the project, such as when work might start and what will actually be built as part of the proposal.
The Woolworths team will be led by regional development manager Wes Dose.
A Woolworths spokesperson said the company remained committed to bringing the new supermarket and local shopping centre to Vincentia.
“We look forward to meeting Cr Gash and talking through our approved DA, timings and design,” the spokesperson said.
