A 46-year-old woman from Worrigee was airlifted to St George Hospital in Sydney following the crash.
Police said the woman was travelling south on Jervis Bay Road in a Toyota Corolla hatchback just after 8.15am, when the vehicle slid out while negotiating a left hand bend about three kilometres south of Huskisson Road.
The vehicle collided with a Nissan Dualis travelling west, driven by a 56-year-old woman from Vincentia.
The driver of the Corolla was trapped in the vehicle for a short time, before being cut free by ambulance rescue paramedics.
The ambulance rescue helicopter was called from Albion Park, with the crew treating the woman, who was flown to St Georges Hospital with suspected pelvic and internal injuries.
The Vincentia woman was taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital with chest pains and minor lacerations.
Police have asked anyone who saw the crash asked to call them on 4421 9699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
