After two nail-biting semi-finals, Saturday’s decision came as a bit of an anticlimax, after the field was deemed too wet to play on and the game against Nowra called a draw.
Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen’s had gone through the competition undefeated, and as competition champions, were also entitled to the premiership.
The second grade team has been a force to be reckoned with over the years, having lost just five games in four seasons.
