Ulladulla won the toss and elected to bat first.
The top order of Kyle Geerlings (3), Will Tettle (1), Darcey Hayter (2), and Breanna Hayter (1) slowly but surely took the shine off the new ball, but it was not until the 10th and 11th order batsman stepped up to the crease that Ulladulla ramped up the pace.
Cooper Jones was sensational in his four overs, hitting 19 runs which included three boundaries, two of which were hit consecutively in his last over.
Drew Ramsden was next to bat and really gave Norths something to sweat about, hitting 13, including two boundaries.
Darcey Hayter batted for the second time and hit another eight runs to round out his team’s 90 run innings.
Norths’ bowlers were on a wicket-taking spree, with Tayla Dunn (2/8), Levi Webber (1/7), Jasper Dunn (2/5), Emily Burinaga (1/7), Ella Davidson (1/6), Marley Arthur (2/7), Riley Simms (1/18) and Brodie Arkinstall (2/13) all producing excellent figures.
As with their bowling, Norths got off to a smashing start with the bat thanks to 21 runs by opening batsmen Marley Arthur (13) and Brodie Arkinstall (8).
This was backed up by a brilliant knock by Levi Webber, who hit 21 runs in five overs including three boundaries.
Jasper Dunn (8), Tayla Dunn (10) and Ella Davidson (6) all contributed to Norths’ 80 run total.
Due to the weather, the game was stopped after the 19th over, with Norths winning on run rate.
Ulladulla’s Cooper Jones fought right up to the last ball, taking 3/6.
He was well supported by Breanna Hayter (1/9) and Casey Dorell (2/5).
