In A grade in the match between Boost Juice and Thirsty Bears at Lyrebird Park No. 2 the Boost Juice captain made a quickfire 50, hitting 24 runs off George, the opposition captain’s first over.
George made a comeback in his second over, taking a hat-trick with 3/6.
But Boost was too strong in the end and won by 47 runs.
Other teams to celebrate wins in A grade were PB Smash over Choices Flooring, SHART over Troy Wilbraham Homes, and Horsepower over Powerbuild.
In B grade a close game was held between AKH Design Service and Callala 1.618 at Drexel Park.
Although AKH Design put in an admirable performance, Callala 1.618 just got the in by three runs.
Other winners in B grade include Bomaderry Bowling Club over Kohli’s, Seven and a Half Men over Sons of Pitchers, Bomo RSL over Nowra Toyota, and Loose Screws over Nowra City Holden.
In C grade a great game was played in good spirit between Swampies and Mans No Camel at Vic Zealand Oval.
Swampies put Camels in first after winning the toss.
Camels went on to hit a respectable 213 runs, with Swampies falling 13 runs short.
There was some big hitting from both teams, and tight bowling at stages saw this game go down to the wire.
Over at Bomaderry Velodrome Beechwood Homes’ captain Tom Smith hit a quick 61 to follow on from last week’s runs.
Unfortunately this was not enough to give his team the win over Shoalhaven Carpentry.
Retiring for Shoalhaven Carpentry were Grub, Scott, Adam and Matt J in their team’s 243 run total.
Other teams that picked up a win in C grade were Grey Power over The Bridge Tavern, Nowra Thunder over Hi Flyers, and Kenardlies over Mutineers.
Teams playing at Bernie Regan Oval are reminded not to park on the ground.
The last person to leave need to lock the gate.
