Leigh Hutcheson, Jimmy James and Mitchell Langford ventured off to the NSW Country Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
It was difficult to qualify to swim at the NSW Country Championships and a real achievement to participate.
Mitchell Langford swam amazingly to take three bronze medals in the boys 11 years 50 metre backstroke, 100 metre freestyle and 100 metre backstroke.
Jimmy James swam in the boys 13 year 50 metre freestyle event and swam to another personal best time, slashing off 0.54 of a second and finishing in 11th place.
It was Jimmy’s first NSW Country Championships.
Leigh Hutcheson also did extremely well in the boys 11 to 12 years 50 metre freestyle event with a personal best time and taking off 0.66 of a second.
There were also a lot of Nowra Swim Club members participating at the Huskisson Triathlon Festival over the weekend.
Great to see lots of members taking their swimming and trying different things.
Good luck to all Nowra Swim Club members participating in their school and district carnivals, with regional swimming not too far away.
The club knows that this is an exciting time of year for swimmers, but know that all that hard work does pay off, but most importantly remember to have fun.
There is still lots still happening at swim club.
