The function will be staged at the Bomaderry Bowling Club from 6pm.
“It’s just our way of saying thank you to all our wonderful helpers”, steering committee chairwoman of the inaugural Shoalhaven River Festival Lynn Locke said.
“Anyone who was involved as a volunteer is welcome to come along.
“We are already well into the planning stages for this year’s festival but there is no way it can
be a success without the help of our wonderful volunteers.
“And that’s why last year’s inaugural event was so good – we had a wonderful group of volunteers who helped.
“There were so many people working behind the scenes it was just amazing.”
Mrs Locke said there were plans to see this year’s festival expand to two days and be staged over the weekend of October 25-26.
“We are looking at continuing the parade through Nowra, having markets on the riverbank, entertainment and fireworks on the Saturday and expanding the boat show and hopefully having a larger marina on the river and staging the boat show on the Sunday as well,” she said.
“We are hoping to build on the success of last year’s event.
“I’ve already had people contact me wanting to go in the parade and take market stalls.”
