Last week’s semi-finals saw Archer Resort narrowly edge out Talladega Nights to win the first grand final berth to be played on March 4.
In the minor semi-final Tross Birdies were under strength and could not contain Entire Services and have been eliminated from the competition.
The sudden death final this week will be between Talladega Nights and Entire Services.
Please note that all finals series matches employ the drop off procedure in the event of a drawn game to extract a winner.
The mixed competition grand finals were able to be played last week after an earlier storm front petered out to leave a humid and comfortable evening for touch football.
In A grade, the favourites Sturty’s Building were narrowly defeated by The Tross, with the game almost going to the drop off decider.
The Tross has been knocking on the door for a number of seasons and have now reaped the awards.
In A reserve, second placed Tim Webster Building started off well and were never headed by Pitt St Kindy to win with a comfortable margin.
Pitt St Kindy did not seem to hit their stride throughout the whole game and were always playing catch up.
In B grade, second placed Archer Resort were always in control over fourth placed Boost Juice and came home with a good lead to take out this season’s premiership.
In B reserve, first placed Harry’s Takeaway proved a little stronger over second placed Manildra to take out this season’s honours.
Both these teams are long standing supporters of the association with members on the committee in both teams.
In C grade, the returned team of RH Boyd Pumas, after a number of seasons, proved far too strong on the night for stalwarts Dilligaf in a surprisingly large margin to win the C grade premiership.
Presentations were held on the evening to all teams and the best and fairest players for the season were also announced as voted by their peers.
In division one there were three females all on equal top points; Jo Anne Gibson (Archer Resort), Belinda Chittleborough (Harris Scarfe) and Ashleigh Kemp (Clifton Accounting), with two male players on equal top points; Matt Clarke (Tim Webster Building) and Stephen Holmes (The Tross).
In Division two there was only one female and one male on outright top points, with Rebecca Cochrane (Clifton Accounting) and Aaron Crittenden (RH Boyd Pumas) taking the honours.

Nowra Shoalhaven Touch is proud to be part of the Shoalhaven Women In Sport campaign being run by Shoalhaven City Council as part of the 2014 International Women’s Day celebrations.
Because of this the Nowra Shoalhaven Touch Association welcomes women of any age to come and have a bit of fun and exercise playing the game of touch.
The come and try days are nothing serious, but are about having fun, and being introduced to the sport of touch football.
The association will have female players there to make you feel welcome and they will also run the event.
The days will be held on Monday, March 10 and Monday, March 17 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at Lyrebird Sports Ground.
You can come on one or both dates.
