The application for the southern side of Tom Thumb Avenue has been lodged by David Bright of Cambewarra.
The proposed development is primarily for the delivery, storage and dispatch of shipping containers and will include the installation of a storage shed and concrete driveway for truck access.
It is anticipated that up to 10 storage containers (one per truck) will be delivered and/or dispatched daily and it is proposed to have a maximum of 100 containers stored on the site at any one time.
It is planned the $80,000 development will be constructed in stages.
Stage one will involve construction of the concrete driveway, landscaping and stormwater drainage, while the second stage includes the construction of a 24m x 11.6m storage shed, car park, gravel driveway and concrete hardstand area.
The site has a total area of 5552m2 but is irregular in shape with a frontage of 79.84 metres and average depth of 95 metres.
It is planned for the complex to operate from 7am to 5pm weekdays and from 7am to noon on Saturdays.
