Fresh from a successful foray in the Netherlands, Priestley is now on the local show circuits and the Cambewarra rider is proving that you are never too successful to go back to grassroots competition.
As usual the standard of competition at the show was high with strong and careful Mark Atkins-designed tracks for the 10 events on the program.
Priestley took out the RMB Lawyers Young Rider event on TP Classic Act on the Friday and backed up on Saturday to take another win on Classic Act in the Charlie McGlinchy Memorial Junior.
Priestley then went on to have a fast and furious jump-off with her cousin South Australian Nicole Bruggemann, in the Graham and Don Coulthart Memorial Mini Prix.
Although Priestley was riding KS Optimus, Bruggermann just pipped her to take the blue ribbon.
But it was not just on the show jumping circuit that locals had success.
In the axemen’s arena, Jack Windley in the 300 millimetre underhand handicap, Jordan Windley in the 275 milometre standing block handicap and Chris Francis in the 275 milimetre standing block second division handicap were just some of the local winners.
The Shoalhaven Mini Trots Trots Club were crowd favourites, with the Nowra Athletics Club also putting on a great show of athleticism in its yearly show race on Saturday night.
