Police were told a 19-year-old man at the park saw a teenage boy going through his bag at about 4.30pm on Sunday.
Police said the man challenged the teenager after which the teen walked away.

The 19-year-old said he did not have any money and both youths left the area.
As a result of inquiries, police arrested two teenagers at Bomaderry Railway Station about 6.15pm.
A knife was seized for forensic examination.
A 17-year-old boy from Gwynneville and 16-year-old boy from Kemblawarra were taken to Nowra Police Station where they were charged with attempted armed robbery while in company.
They were granted conditional bail to appear in the Children’s Court on March 6.
