The fire was located in a paddock to the south west of the homestead, which at no time came under any threat.
The property is now used as a wedding reception venue.
RSF crews were alerted to the blaze which accidently started in dry grass clippings shortly after 4.25pm and it took personnel about 20 minutes to extinguish the fire which burnt out about a 2m by 50m patch.
Crews remained on scene until well after 5.30pm ensuring the fire, which sent up large plumes of smoke blown towards Nowra by the nor easterly breeze, was totally blacked out.
