Mobile app developer Trish Rock, was a business owner for 25 years and knows the importance every edge can mean to small and medium enterprise.
Ms Rock created the chamber’s app.
“Local business owners look to organisations such as their local chamber, for inspiration and leadership on how to grow their businesses,” she said.
“It’s a great credit to the Shoalhaven Business Chamber that they are one of the first organisations in the area to embrace this technology.
“Having organisations in the local community leading the way with new methods of customer relationship building is important for any town.”
“The world is now mobile and it’s important that all organisations are offering their customers this convenient way to do business.”
Shoalhaven Business Chamber’s app has an events calendar, business tips and advice, local interactive maps, one-tap contact for Nowra and Ulladulla offices, sponsors and contact information.
“Apps basically allow customers to easily contact you, with one or two taps,” Ms Rock said.
Shoalhaven Business Chamber general manager Jennifer Stewart said with many chamber members using their phone or tablet to do business an app for the chamber was important to help with communication.
“We know that in a changing world, communicating with people is becoming more diverse,” she said.
The app can be downloaded through the iTunes app store or Google Play.
