THE semi-finals and finals of the Shoalhaven Summer Soccer were played on Thursday, December 19 in an explosive conclusion after what was a close season in all grades.

In the men’s A grade semi-finals, The Buzz defeated Basin View 6-2, with Bears Grill defeating Ooralli 4-3.
Bears Grill and The Buzz fought a hard final but Bears Gryll was just too good, winning 3-1.
The women’s A grade semi-finals was a bit of a whitewash with Holliewood Hair and Beauty defeating Swagbott 4-nil, and Buzz Lightning having a big win over Dream Team 7-2.
The grand final was much closer with Holliewood Hair and Beauty just beating Buzz Lightning 2-1.
In the women’s A reserve grade semi-finals Hair by Kyra Jane lost out to Cougarettes 2-1, and MAD celebrated a big win over Johnny’s 5-2.
Then in the final MAD went on to trump Cougarettes 3-2 and take the win.
The men’s B grade semi-finals were extremely close with Shoalies narrowly defeating Super Cellars Bomaderry 3-2 and Southern Pirates just losing out to 13 Crowns 4-3.
The final was a low scoring affair with Shoalies celebrating the win 1-nil.
In the ladies B grade semi-finals Victorious Secret were too sharp for Cool Beans 2-1, and the Inbetweeners just defeated Sonnys 2-1.
Victorious Secret were in fact victorious in the final, celebrating a big win over Inbetweeners 5-nil.
In the men’s C grade Uni Spartans progressed to the final after defeating Chargers 5-4, as did Medusa, after celebrating a 3-1 winover Sweaty FC.
Uni Spartans were too good for Medusa in the final, taking the win 6-3.
It was two close semi-finals for the women’s C grade with Mobile Welding defeating DGA 2-1, and Balumbo Shamunka trumping Giddyup Goats 6-5.
The final was a low scoring affair with Balumbo Shamunka taking the win 1-nil.
In the men’s D grade semi-finals Cheesy Nibbles defeated Genesis Ultra 3-2, and Murph’s Homies celebrated a 3-2 win over Terrible Teddies.
It was a hard fought final but Murph’s Homies took the win 4-1.
In the women’s D grade semi-finals an evenly matched battle was played against Macy Life Insurance and Bomo Ladies. Two quickfire goals in the second half saw Macy Life Insurance take the win 2-nil.
In the second semi-final Divas celebrated a 2-nil win over Booth Partners.
In the final Macy Life Insurance took a well deserved 4-3 win to take the title.
The men’s over 35s semi-finals saw Bridge Boys defeat Moobs Utd 6-3. and Ray White lose out to Berry Donuts 2-nil.
In the final the Bridge Boys were too good for Berry Donuts, taking the title 3-1.
