UNLIKE their first grade counterparts, the lower grades had much more luck with the weather last weekend.
With the exception of Ulladulla and Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen seconds, all the lower grades got on and played to a finish.
Third and fourth grade saw plenty of big scores, with a highlight being a maiden century from Josh Carberry.
Carberry spearheaded Ex-Servicemen to a formidable total against Bay and Basin in last Saturday’s SDCA fourth grade round.
He cracked 16 fours and one six in his knock of 105 at the Vincentia Sporting Complex.
Carberry received strong support from Barry Cumberland (65), the pair featuring in a club record fourth wicket partnership of 157.
The previous record had been established back in 2005-06 by Michael Cox and Turgay Yusuf against Bomaderry Golds.
