KATY Williams, the highest scoring student at Nowra Anglican College with 95.75 said she’s “very, very relieved”.
Katy, who is applying to study engineering at Sydney University, said she’d advise younger students to not worry too far in advance.
“You can’t spend two years totally stressed. You need to work up to it.”
Josiah Jirgens, the highest scoring boy with an ATAR of 90.3, and had already attained early entry into a mecha-engineering degree at the University of Wollongong.
His advice to other students: don’t stress too much.
“Some people definitely got a bit too worked up, it’s not good. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t get the score you want; there are so many different paths into university.”
Year adviser Denis Smith said it was very exciting to see the students achieve their goals.
“It’s been great. There’ve been ups and downs…you take the rollercoaster with them. They’ve done really well.”
