Shoalhaven travelled to Bradman Oval where Highlands won the toss and sent Shoalhaven in to bat first.
Shoalhaven found itself in trouble early, with openers Jack Pritchett (0), Harrison Graham (2) and John Bowern (1) struggling to get their eye in.
That was until skipper Rocky Lavalle stepped up to the crease and showed the rest of his team how it was done as he worked his way to an unbeaten 46 runs, that included four boundaries.
Unfortunately for Lavalle, his teammates could not hold on against the strong Highlands bowling attack and he was left at the crease with Shoalhaven all out for 86 runs.
Highlands stepped up to the crease and Shoalhaven soon established themselves as formidable in the field, and quickly had their opponents at 3/22.
After some more hard work and patience, Shoalhaven dismissed Highlands’ pesky opener Dominic O’Shannessy (16) by run out thanks to wicketkeeper Lavalle.
But despite many attempts, could not get out Blake Denney (41 n.o), who steered his team to 87 runs and the win.
Best with the ball for Shoalhaven were Justin Rumble (1/23), Drew Ramsden (1/10) and John Ulrick (1/6).
Ulrick also starred in the field to take a catch.
