Priestley will be atop an unfamiliar horse in the European winter, but her spirits were high going into the show jumping competition where she will fly the flag for Australia.
“It is going to be about zero to five degrees, so I am really going to have to rug up,” she laughed.
The 15-year-old has come from a sensational few weeks of competition in Australia.
She competed in two world cup shows in Victoria with some fantastic junior championship wins and top three placings in open Future Star classes, despite being one of the youngest competitors.
In the Sydney World Cup last weekend Priestley qualified both her horses into the top 20 out of 60 competitors.
Priestley pulled off two stunning performances in the final to place first and second, the first junior rider to do so.
