A MAN has been charged with child abuse material offences after detectives searched a home at Shoalhaven Heads on Wednesday.

As part of their ongoing investigations into the possession, production and dissemination of online child abuse material, detectives executed a search warrant on the home at just after 7am on Wednesday.
Police seized laptop and desktop computers, a tablet, a mobile phone, and electronic storage devices.
A 55-year-old man was arrested at his workplace in Sydney and taken to Sydney City Police Station.
He was charged with one count each of using a carriage service for child pornography material; and possessing, controlling, producing, supplying or obtaining child pornography material for use through a carriage service.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Nowra Local Court on January 15.
The Sex Crimes Squad regularly conducts investigations into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and related telecommunications devices.
