RFS crews from around the Shoalhaven will spend a large part of today (Friday) blacking out hotspots that remain on the Wandandian fire ground.
The Hancocks Fire was burning to the west of the Wandandian township. The fire came within about five kilometres of the Princes Highway.
Authorities have urged residents to check and follow their Bush Fire Survival Plan.
Meanwhile RFS fire investigators and Nowra detectives will be on site today trying to determine the cause of that blaze.
