NOWRA have produced a good all-round offering from their batsmen, with six hitting over 20 runs against North Nowra-Cambewarra to bring their team to 214 from their first innings, played at Bernie Regan Sporting Complex on Saturday.
Nowra won the toss and decided to bat first.
Tom Jennings and Gary Downey stepped up to the crease for 10 runs before Jennings (9) was bowled by Graham Lowbridge.
Justin Wallace joined Downey at the crease before Downey was found LBW off a Mark Kemsley ball for 11.
Brad Ison (4) could not find his form, but Wallace smashed four fours for 23 before he was caught by Anthony Sly off an Angus Clark ball.
Captain Jono Clack (22) and Adam Weller (29) provided the support from the middle order, with John King (34) providing the runs from the tail end.
David Schofield hit four fours for 38 and finished not out, with his team all out for 214 after 48 overs.
Clark proved to be a force to be reckoned with with the ball, taking 3/45 off eight overs.
Joseph Davey (2/24) provided good support, with four other Norths bowlers claiming a wicket.
Norths jumped into bat and opener Alan Muggleton (27 n.o) looked steady at the crease despite the loss of Brett Mark (2) and Sly (1).
Muggleton will resume play next Saturday with Ryan Lowbridge.
Norths are 2/39 after 21 overs.
