POLICE have charged two Nowra men with drink-driving following separate car accidents.
The first was caught at 1.30am on Monday, October 7 when police said a Holden ute failed to stop at a red traffic light at the intersection of Illaroo Road and the Princes Highway in Nowra.
The ute collided with a Mitsubishi sedan which was being south along the highway.
Police breath-tested the drivers and the driver of the Holden ute returned a positive reading.
The 20-year-old West Nowra man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where his breath analysis gave a reading of 0.193.
His licence was suspended and he will appear before Nowra Local Court on November 11.
At 6.10am on Friday police alleged a Volkswagen being driven west along Yalwal Road in Mundamia collided with a Toyota panel van coming the opposite way.
Again police breath-tested both drivers and the driver of the Volkswagen returned a positive reading.
The 26-year-old Nowra Hill man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where his breath analysis returned a reading of reading of 0.143.
His licence was also suspended. He will appear in Nowra Local Court on November 18.
