POLICE are questioning a P-plate driver involved in an accident at Falls Creek in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The car was carrying four passengers under 21 years-of-age at the time of the accident, which occurred 60 metres from the Parma Road intersection at Falls Creek.
Police said the 18- year-old male driver from Bega was travelling north at 80 to 90 kilometres per hour and swerved to avoid a wombat before the car collided with a safety barrier.
Police said action may be taken against the driver for having more than one passenger in the car after curfew.
No one was injured in the accident.
About 20 metres of the safety barricade was destroyed.
