THE Lady Denman Heritage Complex at Huskisson is preparing for a huge day of fun on Wednesday, October 2, the main day of the fleet visit.
The complex is hosting a family fun day and picnic, held in conjunction with the International Fleet Review in Jervis Bay.
The event, as it’s commonly said, will have something for everyone.
A barbecue will be sizzling up some food for all members of the family to enjoy.
There will be a cake stall with lunchtime muffins and cakes of all sizes.
There will be lucky dips for the boys and girls.
The Hippity Hop jumping castle will be popular and the Streets Paddle Pop Lion will no doubt have a good following.
There will also be clowns and lots of giveaways.
VIVS Dreaming Aboriginal artists, all day, will conduct painting classes and Laddie Timbery, from 11am will display his boomerang throwing skills.
There will be a hands-on children’s music workshop at 1pm with a performance for parents at 2pm.
Live music will be played throughout the day.
Inside the complex there are some great exhibitions and on the day entrance into the museum is half price with guided tours at 1pm and 3pm.
Shane Wood from Bikes at the Basin has donated a bike for the main raffle and there are some other great raffle prizes donated by local businesses.
The event will be held in the complex’s beautiful grounds from 10am to 4pm.
