POLICE have fined two men for failing to leave a licenced venue over the weekend.
On Friday evening an 18-year-old man was refused entry to a licenced venue on Bridge Road when he tried to re-enter, having drunk there previously.
He then went to another venue, had a drink and returned to Bridge Road.
After jumping a brick wall into the beer garden he was seen, stopped and held by security until the police arrived.
At 9.40pm on Saturday night a 26-year-old man from Worrigee was asked to leave a licenced venue on Greenwell Point Road after becoming aggressive.
After arguing with security staff he was escorted from the venue.
However once outside he refused to leave the area.
Both men were issued with $550 fines from the police.
Police have reminded patrons of licenced venues that if they drink enough alcohol to affect their behaviour, or if they become aggressive or argumentative that staff have a right to eject them.
Once ejected, you must leave the area by law.
If the police are called they will show a zero tolerance and will either arrest the offender or issue a $550 fine.
