FOR the fourth year running, Care Packs for Aussie Troops will be sent to Australian defence personnel operating in the Middle East.
Members of the Nowra City Church co-ordinate the packs which contain items the troops appreciate.
One of the co-ordinators, Netty Kennedy, said donations to the care packages had been growing each year.
“Last year we sent 100 packs and the year before it was 50. This year we are hoping to receive enough products to make 150 packs.
“People can start donating now until October 20,” she said.
Donations can be made at Nowra City Church, Optus World, Nowra, Terry White Chemist, Stockland, Good Guys, Gloria Jeans and Vincentia Newsagency.
Specific items are put in the care packages, they include Vegemite,
lollies, salted nuts, snack foods, biscuits, flavoured tea, coffee, muesli bars, chocolate drink mix, magazines, roll-on deodorant, sun block, soap, shaving gear, small containers of shampoo and conditioner, moisturiser and dog treats and toys.
