BISHOP Peter Ingham will be in the Shoalhaven this weekend for the 150th anniversary of the St Michael’s Parish.
The Sesquicentenary Mass will be held on Sunday, September 29 at 10am at St Michael’s Church, Nowra.
To cater for overflow crowds, the mass will be transmitted via a video-link to the church hall where extra seating will be provided.
The mass will be followed by the blessing of the Pioneer Cemetery, after which refreshments will be supplied by the Nowra Lions Club or bring your own picnic.
The Town Band will provide entertainment.
An exhibition of memorabilia and a floral display will be open from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday 29 from 10am until 4pm at the church hall.
On Saturday, the launch of A Faithful People - the story of St Michael’s Catholic Parish in the Shoalhaven will take place at 2.30pm.
